 A Little More About Me.....

Smallholder and home-maker, artist and spiritual Creatrix.

In-between working the land of our smallholding I love squeezing in time to create art in various forms, finding inspiration from the beautiful Orkney Island landscape around us and from my spiritual journey.

Although we live a quiet life you will always find us busy, spinning at the wheel, hooking by the fire, podding broad beans but always offering a warm welcome.

Born and raised in the North of England, I spent my twenties living in Derbyshire in the Midlands where I met my lovely hubby and partner in crime John.

Both of grew a dream to live off the land which led us to moving to our Scottish island home.

My hope with my blog is to show others that living a more back to the land in tune with nature and her cycles life, is not as complicated or hard as it seems.
